an open call for freelance artists
Our Creative Studio is seeking Freelance Graphic Designers, based out of Central Florida, who can design creative pitch decks, maintain and update our WordPress websites, oversee and evolve our brand identity, assist in the development of attraction concept designs, create sales & marketing collateral materials, and produce corporate video content (including motion graphics). Selected freelancers will work with the Creative Director to bring new attraction ideas to life.
Please note that to be considered for freelance work, you must submit a link to a portfolio or demo reel which includes samples of relevant work and/or demonstrated proficiency with the skills listed below. You do not need a comprehensive resume or CV. But you do need to show samples of your work.
Applicants without a portfolio or demo reel will not be considered.
We Are Seeking Artists To:
- Create compelling presentations, pitch decks, sales cutsheets and other visual communications
- Design, update and maintain the company’s various websites and landing pages
- Produce corporate videos and sizzle reels to promote the company, its rides, and projects
- Create concept art, storyboard art and key art for rides and attractions
- Produce motion graphics and logo animations
- Create and develop infographics
- Design trade publication advertisements and participate in ad campaign strategies
- Design imagery for use on social media platforms
- Design logos for new and existing ride systems
- Create story ideas for new attraction concepts
- Create graphic design elements (logos, signage, etc.) for new attraction concepts
- Create tradeshow booth designs and graphics
- Meet deadlines under pressure while maintaining high quality standards
- Responsible for maintaining Graphic Design & Branding standards across departments
- Additional tasks as required by the Creative Director
Skills & Requirements
- Creative Problem-Solving skills. You must be able to take a design challenge and deliver creative solutions.
- Innate design aesthetic, proven via the work shown in your portfolio or demo reel.
- Strong work ethic. We’re looking for people who are obsessed with the details and will put in the effort needed to make things perfect.
- Exceptional “can-do” attitude. If you’re the most talented artist in the world but don’t have a positive attitude, you need not apply.
- Eagerness to learn new skills and take on new challenges, even if they are outside your area of expertise.
- Demonstrated mastery of color theory, typography and layout design principles.
- Illustration skills ranging from concept sketches to key art.
- Proficiency / mastery of traditional design applications including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- Experience with WordPress and/or related website design tools.
- Advanced experience with video editing software (Davinci Resolve preferred) and motion graphics (Adobe After Effects) tools.
- Ability to take direction, implement changes, and work to achieve the vision of the Creative Director.
- Ability to work solo or as part of a larger team.
- Ability to visually communicate complex ideas in a compelling and visually appealing manner.
- Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
- Understanding of offset printing requirements, including spot color and process color printing.
