PORT COQUITLAM, B.C. – British Columbia-based amusement ride firm Dynamic Attractions’ latest project is taking France by storm.
Futuroscope, an amusement park located in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou, France, uses Dynamic Attractions technology for its Chasseurs de Tornades (Tornado Chasers) ride which features the first Dynamic Motion Theater in the world.
The attraction is designed to make guests feel they are experiencing the heart of a huge storm using a 470 m2 circular screen surrounded by live action scenes, LED projections and special effects. The Dynamic Motion Theater technology consists of a circular platform that tilts, turns and goes up and down.
“The Dynamic Motion Theater puts a whole new spin on an immersive attraction,” adds Nelson. “We’ve pioneered new technology to create an experience that has been, until now, impossible. Ride fans need to storm to Futuroscope and experience this great new adventure,” Dynamic Attractions and Dynamic Technologies Group CEO Guy Nelson said in a statement.
“Dynamic Attraction has once again supplied a ‘world’s first’ to Futuroscope. Tornado Chasers is an adventure unlike any other, with thrilling storytelling and cutting-edge technology,” Futuroscope directeur général Rodolphe Bouin added.
In 2016 the Dynamic Motion Theater won the International Association of Amusement Parks “Best Attraction” award. Dynamic Attractions has over 100 engineers, designers, fabricators and theme artists based in Orlando, Vancouver, Toronto, Dallas and Shanghai.
