By Josh Young | Published June 13, 2019 — As the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expo kicked off in Asia for 2019, so did a monumental deal. Dynamic Attractions inked a letter of intent to become the marquee ride supplier for a series of new theme parks set to open across China over the next few years.
The agreement was inked with the Jialong Group, who was founded in 1981 and is a tourism and real estate company based in Beijing. Currently, the group has plans to open parks in Chengdu, Beijing, Qin Huangdao, Fujian and Hainan.
Specifically, Jailong is interested in building some of Dynamic Attractions‘ most iconic rides. If you’ve been to any major theme park in the world, you’ve no doubt experienced a ride from Dynamic. From their iconic Flying Theater to their SFX Coaster.
“Jialong Parks’ vision for guest entertainment is fresh and exciting,” stated Hao Wang, President and Chief Operating Officer, Dynamic Attractions. “They are focused on Asia’s skyrocketing appetite for entertainment and the expansion of tourism attractions. We’re pleased that they have asked us to provide marque attractions at each of their inaugural theme parks across China. We are motivated by creating rides that ‘wow’ park operators as much as their guests.”
Dynamic Attractions also have some amazing concepts that are waiting on the right partner that we have covered here at Theme Park University. Does anyone remember the All Terrain Dark Ride from IAAPA 2017? Hopefully, Jailong picks up one of these and we will definitely make a trip to China to experience it!
